What we fabricate
Most of what leaves this shop is galvanized duct. Rectangular in standard and custom sizes, with the transitions, offsets, and plenums that connect it.
The fittings go with it:
- Elbows in round, rectangular, and oval, 45° and 90°
- Concentric and eccentric reducers and increasers
- Saddle and stick-on takeoffs
- Start collars and snap collars, round and rectangular
- Straight, transition, and elbow register boots
- End caps for round and rectangular
Curb adapters and rooftop curbs are built to the unit footprint and the existing roof opening. Damper sleeves for commercial applications, fabricated to fit stock dampers. Hangers, supports, and connectors go out with the job, and insulated or non-insulated flex pipe where the run calls for it.
Then there's the sheet metal that doesn't have a catalogue name: exhaust hoods, louvers, the one-off piece on sheet 14 that no supplier carries. If you can draw it, it can be formed here.

Materials and finishes
Galvanized steel is the default for duct and fittings, 26 ga through 16 ga, matched to duct size and pressure class per your spec. Stainless for kitchen exhaust and wash-down environments, brushed or as-formed. Aluminum where weight or corrosion calls for it, and welded black iron for grease duct.
Put the material and gauge on the drawing. If they aren't on the drawing, tell us what the run is for and we'll ask the right questions before anything gets cut.

How to order
Send the takeoff, the drawings, or a marked-up print. PDFs, AutoCAD files, or a photo of the sheet. Tell us the quantities, the material and gauge if you've specified them, and when you need it on site.
You get a number back, priced on our own rates. Once you say go, it gets formed here. Pick it up at the shop, or we'll put it on a truck.
Based in Halifax and serving Halifax Regional Municipality and the Maritimes, with fabrication shipped across Canada.

Industries we build this for
Most of it goes into commercial and residential buildings. Hospitality takes kitchen exhaust in galvanized or stainless, and marine work mostly runs through Metal Fabrication.
Common questions
Both. Standard rectangular and round when that's what the job calls for, custom when it isn't: odd transitions, tight offsets, a plenum that has to clear a beam. Send the drawing and we'll build to it.
The takeoff or drawings, quantities, material and gauge if specified, and when you need it. PDFs, AutoCAD files, or a photo of a marked-up print all work. If you're not sure you've got enough, send what you have and we'll tell you what's missing.
Depends on the run, the fittings, and what else is on the floor that week. Put your date in the request. You'll get a straight answer on whether it works before you commit to anything.
Yes. Most HRM contractors do. If the job's out of town, or it's more than fits on your truck, we'll ship it.
Both. Supports, hangers, connectors, and insulated or non-insulated flex pipe can go out with the fabricated duct, so the whole run arrives as one order.
